Preparing for the Hurricane Season
The 2024 hurricane season is expected to be one of the most active in recent years. Whether you’re new to the area or you’ve been through your fair share of storm seasons, it is critical to have a hurricane preparedness plan in place for your household and landscape. We encourage you to share this resource with friends and family so that we can all begin preparing for the 2024 storm season together.
During hurricane season, we have three major concerns: winds, flooding, and tornadoes.
Hurricanes and tropical storms often produce heavy rainfall, which may result in deadly and destructive floods. Winds from a hurricane can destroy buildings and outdoor items/debris can become projectiles in high winds. Tornadoes can accompany hurricanes and tropical storms.
The Greenery’s Storm Response Plan
The Greenery prepares for hurricane season 365 days a year. In the event of a storm, our goal will always be to prioritize and help as many people as we can. During a storm, our goals are to stay close and monitor any activity to ensure our employees and clients stay safe. As the storm occurs, we start to prioritize and help as many people as we can.
Our post-storm plan includes responding as one coordinated team with many arms completing a wide variety of tasks. We have tractors and mini loaders for moving large tree trunks and limbs, plus dump trucks and trailers for moving large debris. Our depth of manpower, coupled with equipment, machinery, and additional vehicles, makes us the most prepared landscape company and best equipped to respond to a crisis in the region.
